After a year away from the water, we’re thrilled to announce St Lawrence Church's return to Dragon Boat Racing, this time at the Lions Dragon Boat Race on the River Medway in Tonbridge town centre on Sunday 7th September 2025.

Whether you're a seasoned paddler or a complete beginner, this is your chance to join our crew, and secure your spot in an eight seater Dragon Boat, all in support of five small (but mighty) charitable causes. Every pound raised will be shared equally between; Sevenoaks Area Youth Trust, The Scotts Project, Children in Distress, RDM Parakkanvilai Fund and One Hope Zimbabwe.

There’s no cost of entry for rowers, and we can have up to twenty spaces to ensure freshness in each race: all we ask is that you are at least 16 years old and able to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship. The last time we hit the water in 2023 we raised in excess of £5,000 and we would love to do that again, so gather your friends, family and colleagues to join us in friendly, community-based competition, safe in the knowledge of a guaranteed win for our chosen charities.
