Revision of the Church Electoral Roll

Every year, all Church of England parishes revise their Church Electoral Rolls. We are about to start on this process; and we will finish it on April 22. This is an invitation to anyone who is not already on the Church Electoral Roll and who would like to be on it to apply to have their name added.

The number on the Church Electoral Roll is one of the factors which can have a material influence on decisions regarding the future of the parish. Being on the Church Electoral Roll is one of the ways in which people can show their support for our lovely Church. The Church Electoral Roll has nothing to do with the Electoral Roll used for central and local government elections. It is the list of those qualified to attend and vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) (on May 8 this year) and to elect members of our Parochial Church Council and the Parish’s two Deanery Synod representatives.

If you’re not on the Church Electoral Roll at present and would like to be on it, or if you would like to know more about it, do please speak to the Vicar, one of the Church officers or myself.

NB. This year, if you’re already on the Church Electoral Roll and want to stay on it, you don’t need to do anything!
